Welcome to Arvoss House
"Avó (Grandma) Ilda" had a little home but a big heart. Over 45 years, in a simple little house she made a home to raise over 30 children and young people! Her life was dedicated to maintaining a safe, clean and cosy environment for people to flourish. Teaching us invaluable life lessons and skills that helped shape us into happy thriving adults. Arvoss House is a living tribute to her incredible legacy—continuing her mission of support, and reminding young people that "The door is always open".
Why us?
The great team:
We have over 100 years of experience within the team of working with young people. Our expertise includes, counselling, youth offending, housing, conflict resolution, mental health work and corporate parenting. We use safer recruiting methods and provide ongoing training to everyone in the team.

Our cosy homes:
We want young people to feel proud of where they live and so we take pride in decorating all our houses in a homely style. Each bedroom has a double bed, workstation, 32 inch smart Tv, wardrobe, side table and chest of drawers. We also encourage and support each new young person to customise their room to their liking.

We believe in a person centred approach to achieve the best outcomes for young people. We like to lead by example and hold ourselves and each other to a high standard. Keeping our people skills at the forefront of everything we do.

Our robust policies and procedures
Safety, safeguarding, and success is our focus for young people. We therefore ensure all our operating standards remain relevant and compliant. We work in partnership and stay up to date with relevant governing bodies, groups and other local providers, to maintain a high level of knowledge.
